The Rhubarb Sisters are from Lanesboro, the Rhubarb Capital of Minnesota. Since 2006, they have enjoyed entertaining audiences throughout Southeast Minnesota and spreading their rhubarb message of hope and good cheer. They have found that rhubarb can make its way into almost any familiar song! As Peggy Hanson says, "It’s like finding happiness in your own backyard." The Rhubarb Sisters skyrocketed to global fame and stardom when Garrison Keillor asked them to join him on his A Prairie Home Companion radio show when it came to Lanesboro's Rhubarb Festival in 2007. They have appeared for many community groups, at the Whalan Standstill Parade, and on Lanesboro’s Over the Back Fence live radio show, in addition to ongoing commitments to the Lanesboro Arts Center’s Holiday Sing-Along with Dan Choinard and Lanesboro’s annual Rhubarb Festival.
